The great thing about Canva is that you can become your own media outlet and this year I have committed myself to generating my own hype. So I am thrilled to announce that I made yet another fake interior design magazine with my latest makeover. This time though instead of ‘Modern Interiors’, I made my own fake DSAS magazine cover to show off the new office:
The motivation
About six months ago my friend asked if I could help set up her first business office. New business, new look.
Design brief:
Office space needs to fit two people with their own desk
Space needs to look like a serious office for a serious lawyer
Space needs to include my friend’s taste in decor
Plants
Artsy
Pops of colour like orange or green
Cannot change the carpet, wall colour, or any fixed element of the room.
This meant that this lovely ‘dark academia’ mood board could only send a partial mood because we couldn’t paint the walls:
So it had to be a shade lighter -
And we wound up with this!! My friend is very happy.

The standing desks were ordered off Desk Bird and not only are they very nice but so are the customer service. My friend, bless her, ordered four desks instead of two and they quickly sorted it with no issue.
Print is by Flox
Plants all from Kings Plant Barn
Shelves were Vasagle 5-Tier Industrial Standing Bookcase Bookshelf - Brown and Black
Flax kite x 2 were won by my friend the day before in an auction and we randomly decided to put them up.
We also did things like buy black electrical cords so they wouldn’t show up against the carpet
Quite an upgrade from the original office pre-redesign:
