Oh hello there!
Well done for getting this far and for doing your research about Design Sense & Sustainability. We are probably quite similar. This page is written by me - Kim Arrowsmith - and is a productive way for me to express my thoughts and ideas about contemporary design. As a designer, writer, and researcher, this experience has exposed me to an eclectic range of ideas. I am curious and concerned about environmental, social, and economic issues and where thoughtful design interlaces, if not informs our decisions. As a person who loves clothes, makeup, interior design, and art how do I reconcile these materially with my environmental concerns? What does this say about overconsumption and what can I do about it? Also, how do I use the concepts of design to address debt, make more space in my life, and make my surroundings reflect who I am? I will try to answer these questions myself and I would love your thoughts too.
I post every Saturday 8AM NZT however if you live anywhere other than NZ you’ll receive this way earlier lucky you!
xx
